Finally, after three years of waiting the final shipping of the Freebord 5X is being processed and for the US Indiegogo backers the shipment arrived in Oakland in February.
Freebord has finally received a final sample of the 5-X trucks. Some minor problems still remain and the estimated shipment is now in June.
The Indiegogo campaign for the Driftboard drive kit is now launched and for the first backers, the price is only $752.
Freebord MFG is being told that the Freebord 5, Castors, and Decks will be done by the end of the month and for the 5-X it's the end of April. The first batch of new boards will be shipped at the end of May.
DRFTB launched a video called "Empire State Of Mind" with Joshua Jackson AKA Slidejumpslide cruising around Manhattan the last Friday in February.

According to Aaron Aders at Summerboard there will be spare parts available to buy in their Summerboard app. The extent of the spare parts is still unknown but this is really exciting for the DIY community. Will there be an option to buy a set of SR360 or a new remote?
